In 2015, our story started with a boutique designer store called Madhubani — a space dedicated to customized, handcrafted ethnic wear that celebrated intricate Indian artistry and personal detailing. Madhubani was a reflection of our early passion for design, craftsmanship, and bespoke fashion.
As our vision evolved, so did our identity. What began as Madhubani transformed into Gawri Couture — a premium label inspired by Rajasthan’s rich textile traditions and the spirit of slow, conscious luxury.
Every Gawri creation is handcrafted using age-old techniques like traditional hand block printing, natural dyeing, and artisanal detailing, brought to life through premium fabrics such as fine Chanderi, Malmal, Cotton Silk, and handwoven blends. Our designs blend minimal sophistication with cultural soul, offering pieces that feel both contemporary and steeped in tradition.

Founder’s Story – Gawri Couture
Gawri Couture was founded by Nitin Gupta, alongside his wife and creative partner Archana Sharma, as a shared vision rooted in design, heritage, and handcrafted excellence.
The couple’s journey began in 2015 with a designer boutique named Madhubani — a customized fashion studio in Jaipur offering bespoke ethnic wear inspired by Indian art forms and traditional craftsmanship. Madhubani was more than just a store; it was a creative space where they personally connected with clients, understood individual design sensibilities, and worked closely with artisans to bring handcrafted pieces to life.
With time, their exposure to Rajasthan’s rich textile legacy — especially Bagru and hand block printing traditions — deepened their passion. They realized the need to go beyond customization and create a brand that could preserve these crafts on a larger, more meaningful platform.
This vision gave birth to Gawri Couture — an evolved, premium label that merges traditional artistry with modern design aesthetics. Together, Nitin and Archana built Gawri Couture on the philosophy that true luxury is not about scale, but about authenticity, craftsmanship, and soul.
While Nitin Gupta leads the brand’s vision and strategy, Archana Sharma plays a vital creative role, contributing her aesthetic sensibility, client understanding, and design direction. Her involvement brings a distinctive feminine touch and intuitive appreciation of detail that reflects in every Gawri Couture creation.
By working directly with artisans and supporting heritage techniques, they have created more than a fashion label — they have built a platform that empowers craftsmen, sustains traditions, and offers women a wardrobe rooted in culture, elegance, and conscious luxury.
